Corsicana Area, Navarro County, TX

We are interested in a prematurely abandoned field near the town of Corsicana and have a project underway to analyze total reserves left in the ground for potential horizontal development. The field was productive in the Cotton Valley Limestone formation at a vertical depth of approximately 9,500 feet. Field development continued following the initial discovery in 1978 into the early 1980's eventually encompassing an area 12 miles long and 5 miles wide (approximately 30,000 acres). Core analysis in the Cotton Valley Limestone indicates this reservoir is highly fractured and should respond favorably to horizontal drilling technology.
